Kadri Voorand

Kadri Voorand is a young jazzvocalist  and composer from Estonia, who has recently received an award ´´Young Jazztalent 2008´´ in Estonia. Thanks to her improvisational vocal skills and original compositions she has received several prizes in many competitions in Estonia as well as abroad.

Kadri has been studying classical piano since early childhood, mean time playing folk-violin and singing  in her mothers` folk-ensemble. She  has been studying jazz  in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, at this time continuing her studies in the Royal Music Academy of Stockholm.

Collaboration with Tanel Ruben begun with writing some lyrics for his tunes.
